I love Instagram

I’ll be totally honest… when I first heard of Instagram I hated the idea of it. Who needs stupid filters to to make their iPhone photos look better? Another social network? Really? Despite being skeptical I decided to give it a try and was quickly hooked.

I came to discover the content and point of view on Instagram is highly entertaining and intriguing. While typically reserve my Flickr photo stream for larger collections of photos, I like that Instagram provides a place to share quick moments of daily life. I love getting a quick peek into someones day, what they’re seeing and what they’re doing. Each photo that is posted is unique and original to it’s owner (for the most part – there are always exceptions). I love that Instagram provides what feels to be a highly curated social media experience, which is a nice change from the barrage of content that comes through Facebook and Twitter these days.

I think it’s fair to say that Instagram is now my favorite social network, hands down. If you haven’t given it a try I highly recommend you do. You can find me on there @sagebrown.
